      In terms of economic impact, October’s Hurricane Sandy is one of the costliest severe weather events in U.S. history. Private industry employers in large metropolitan areas were hit the hardest, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. For some companies, it will be a long, difficult road to get up and running again. What can your business learn from the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy? Read on to find out. While insured small group plans and individual health insurance policies will be subject to new deductible and out-of-pocket limit caps in 2014, proposed legislation that the government does not intend to impose these regulations on self-insured group health plans or insured large group health plans. In addition, remaining grandfathered group health plans will also be exempt from these new requirements.
